My name is Priscila. I’m married to Felipe and a proud mum of 3 children! My journey into the world of baby sleep began long before I became a mother. For years, I worked with kids in Brazil. After getting married I moved to Australia and worked as a nanny. During my time as a nanny, I developed a deep interest in baby sleep as I had to manage the kids’ sleep routines.

When I became pregnant with my first baby, sleep deprivation was one of my worries. My husband and I both knew we needed sleep to be the parents we wanted to be. We also knew how important sleep is for the health of both babies and adults, so I wanted to help our little one get the sleep they needed. So, I started digging into books and sought advice from parents who I knew babies would sleep well.

When my first daughter was born, I faced the same sleep challenges many parents do. Wanting to understand how to support her better, I enrolled in a course that included six months of access to sleep consultants. As I implemented what I was learning, we saw incredible improvements. In my free time, I would find myself studying and learning more about it as a hobby.

When my second baby arrived, I applied everything I had learned from the very start. She began sleeping 12 hours straight (without feeds) at just 9 weeks old and had been napping beautifully from birth. With our third baby, the same approach helped him sleep 8 hour stretches at 4 weeks, eventually reaching 7pm–7am at a young age. People often thought we had just gotten lucky with our children’s sleep - that they were naturally good sleepers - but that wasn’t the case. We were intentional about their sleep from the very beginning and had the right “tools".

As I began helping friends informally with their little ones, I realised how much joy I found in supporting families through this season. That’s when I decided to become a certified sleep consultant. After months of studying and practical training, I got my certification - and since then, I’ve had the privilege of helping families.

As a certified baby sleep consultant, my goal is to support parents through this journey. Being a parent is hard enough - doing it without sleep makes everything even harder.

When your baby sleeps well, so much shifts: your mental health, your physical health, your relationship, your baby's mood and even your ability to enjoy the everyday moments of parenthood.

We had been co-sleeping since our baby was very young. He was waking up about 6x every night and would only go back to sleep when feeding... I was completely exhausted. I didn’t think he could ever sleep in his own cot in his own room and without waking up.

Our 10 months old baby would only sleep while being rocked. Every night, we had to spend a long time getting him to sleep, which made bedtime stressful for us. He was waking up once during the night but would only go back to sleep if one of us lay down next to him in his bedroom. We even had a mattress there and took turns sleeping with him on the mattress for the rest of the night. We were exhausted.
